GENERAL SUMMARY:
This person is to load and unload product using a fork truck into various types of trucks and trailers. They are to fill out any paperwork, check in or out shipments, perform inventory on a monthly basis, calculate and pull case goods. They will also be required to perform forklift inspections daily, work in a safe manner and complete any other duties assigned by management and or team leaders.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Knowing how to read the bill of ladings and load logs
Loading the proper product.
Filling all of the paperwork out correctly (this includes matching purchase orders, receiving’s, and placing these papers in the proper boxes).
Placing all safety devices (wheel chocks, safety chains, loading plates etc.) on the trailers that they are working on.
Maintain a professional work attitude with the truck drivers that come in the facility and with the office personnel.
Keep yard clean and organized.
Drive safely at all times.
Any other duties assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Must be able to use time wisely
Must be able to communicate well both written and verbal.
Must be safe in all aspects of duties
Must be a team player.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two years’ experience in field a plus.
Computer knowledge a plus

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Knowledge of forklift operations.
