Role: Financial Analyst – Operations
Location: Full-time onsite – Mississauga, Ontario
Travel: Some travel required within Canada and the U.S.
Compensation Range: $90,000

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, Operations, this role is responsible for a wide range of financial analysis activities focused on operations, standard costing, and inventory. The Financial Analyst will support accounting functions across multiple North American sites, including inventory management, overhead spend analysis, controls, budgeting, and standard costing.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly reporting and analysis on plant operations, including variance analysis
Analyze, understand, and correct causes of inventory transaction variances
Review inventory for obsolescence
Participate in inventory costing activities
Prepare and review month-end accruals and related analysis
Assist in processing and analyzing cycle count results
Coordinate year-end physical inventory counts with site personnel and external auditors
Act as the primary contact for auditors on inventory-related matters
Interpret inventory-related results and recommend actions
Ensure financial records comply with company policies and procedures
Monitor inventory processes and recommend improvement opportunities across all sites
Support implementation of best practices and ensure consistent execution across sites
Maintain up-to-date documentation of inventory-related company policies
Prepare financial management reports and audit support schedules as needed
Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal controls
Meet all financial reporting deadlines
Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
Highly proficient with Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, filters), Word, PowerPoint, Internet, and email
Strong planning, time management, and independent work capability
Ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Accounting or finance experience required
Strong understanding of accounting theory and transactions
Manufacturing accounting experience required
Accounting designation (or working toward one) preferred
Work Environment:
Full-time onsite in Mississauga
Travel required to U.S. and Canadian sites
