Role: Control Room Operator

Job Summary:

The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring and controlling automated production systems to ensure continuous, efficient manufacturing operations. This position oversees production line programming, monitors material flow, and works closely with production and maintenance teams to keep processing lines supplied with raw materials while maintaining product quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate automated production equipment through computerized control systems.
  • Program and adjust production lines to maintain efficient workflow and production output.
  • Ensure production lines remain supplied with the appropriate materials to prevent downtime.
  • Monitor production rates, equipment performance, and system alarms, responding promptly to operational issues.
  • Coordinate with loader operators and production personnel to replenish materials as needed.
  • Verify production settings and make adjustments based on product specifications and production schedules.
  • Perform routine system checks and document production data, equipment status, and operational issues.
  • Communicate equipment malfunctions or production concerns to maintenance and supervisory personnel.
  • Assist with production changeovers and startup/shutdown procedures.
  • Maintain accurate production records and complete required reports.
  • Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and company policies.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to safely perform lifting up to 70 lbs on a routine basis
  • Comfortable with standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods
  • Ability to safely operate equipment in varying weather and yard conditions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and dependable work ethic
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
