Role : Independent Sales Consultant

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Sales Consultant is responsible for both maximizing current business (70%) and developing new markets (30%) for Sun Gro international accounts. This includes supporting the entire export sales and marketing process, developing customer relations.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: ·

  • Manage existing accounts with a primary focus of maintaining and growing Sun Gro Sales in the Mexican and Central American Markets
  • Manage all orders, organize products to ship, and delegate tasks accordingly.
  • Provide support with required reports and sales calls.
  • Record keeping in Salesforce for all international accounts.
  • Travel internationally to manage distribution sales activity by management/sales meetings, sales rep visits, industry trade conference and events.
  • Timely submission of sales reports & expense reports as required to meet monthly deadline.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES 

  • The Consultant should have knowledge of the Region, with Export Sales experience, or equivalent. Previous experience working in the Agriculture /Greenhouse/Cannabis Industries would be an advantage. Sales-driven focus.
  • The Consultant must be Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Superior project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Plan, organize, and monitor activities according to priorities.
  • Interface effectively with customers, the public, direct reports, co-workers and Managers.
  • Perform with absolute honesty and diplomacy, adhereing at all times to the company Values.
  • Basic understanding and proficiency of computers and software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Salesforce.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Customer Relations & Development, Product Management, Product Development, Requirements Analysis, Pricing, Planning, Competitive Analysis, Sales Planning, Inventory Control, Financial Planning and Strategy. · B.S. Degree in Agriculture, Marketing, or Business Administration.
  • It is essential that the candidate have a broad knowledge of the product portfolio.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  •  All applicants must be eligible to work in Mexico and travel to Central America, US & Canada.
  • Ability to work from home with phone and internet capabilities necessary.
  • Tight timelines, so working extended hours during peak periods is required.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
